Business Details
Our team at Arkenstone Construction provides comprehensive roofing, driveway and patio services for homeowners across Peterborough, Lincolnshire and the South West. As a family-operated business directed by Charles Stevens, we bring more than 25 years of practical experience to every undertaking. Having completed over 1,000 projects, we handle everything from minor roof leaks and individual tile repairs to extensive roof rebuilding and replacement. Our capabilities also include flat roofs, chimney maintenance, guttering, fascias and soffits. For outdoor surfaces, we install block paved and resin bound driveways, provide tarmac surfacing, construct patios and undertake decorative concrete work.
Quality assurance and straightforward communication are central to how we operate. Rather than recommending unnecessary replacements, we investigate roofing defects, photograph the affected areas and discuss appropriate repair options. Charles personally conducts surveys and provides written quotations with fixed prices, allowing customers to understand the proposed work before making decisions. We offer free assessments without obligation and avoid commission-driven sales practices. Every complete roof replacement undergoes an independent building inspection, while our workmanship protection includes 20 years for roofing and five years for driveways and patios. We are fully covered by public liability insurance, and our record includes over 160 verified customer reviews on Google, Trustatrader and Checkatrade.

Services
New Roofs & Roof Replacement
Our new roofing service covers everything from removing existing coverings to installing a fully renewed roof. We inspect structural timbers, replace damaged sections and fit new membranes, battens and roofing materials. Scaffolding, waste removal and site cleaning are included. An independent building inspector verifies the completed work, which carries our 20-year workmanship guarantee.
Roof Repairs
From identifying roof leaks to replacing cracked or missing tiles, we deliver reliable solutions for various roofing problems. Our team also undertakes lead flashing repairs, ridge and hip restoration, and storm damage repairs. We explain our findings clearly, providing photographs where appropriate. All work comes with a 20-year written guarantee and transparent quotations.
Flat Roofing
We specialise in replacing deteriorating flat roofs with modern roofing systems designed for lasting performance. Our available materials include UV-stable EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and high-performance felt. We address drainage requirements, insulation and finishing details throughout the installation process. An independent building inspector checks each completed replacement, while our workmanship benefits from a 20-year written guarantee.
Driveways & Surfacing
From replacing cracked concrete to addressing deteriorating tarmac and weed-covered paving, we provide comprehensive driveway solutions. Our work incorporates proper excavation, compacted foundations and a choice of decorative or practical surfaces. We handle associated drainage, steps and edging within the same team. Charles personally oversees each project, and our workmanship carries a five-year guarantee.
Resin Bound Driveways
Our resin bound driveway service combines careful preparation with quality materials to create attractive, long-lasting surfaces. We offer numerous aggregate blends, complemented by block, granite or steel edging. Each driveway provides effective rainwater drainage without loose stones or exposed joints. We complete our installations with a five-year written guarantee covering workmanship.
Block Paving
Our block paving services combine attractive finishes with properly prepared foundations for lasting performance. We carefully compact the sub-base, position secure edge restraints and establish suitable drainage falls away from your home. Customers can select from different block colours, laying patterns and contrasting borders. We also undertake re-sanding, re-levelling and repairs, with a five-year workmanship guarantee.
