Our Services

At Glenbuild, we specialise in a wide range of roofing services, including:

Roofing

We cater for all commercial and residential contracts, specialising in unique and bespoke leadwork, all types of slate roofing, including historical restoration, and all types of roof tiling. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Slating

Our team has carried out various high-profile re-slating contracts, including New Cumnock town hall for the Great Steward of Dumfries, better known as King Charles. We have also completed large projects on historical buildings and roofs, including Kelburn Castle, which was carried out over a period of four years to complete all the phases for Historical Scotland.

Tiling

Our tiling work ranges from concrete and clay to slate alternative look-alike tiles. We take great pride in delivering high-quality results, with special bespoke additions to add a personal touch for clients.

Leadwork

We pride ourselves on our workmanship and attention to detail in all our historical and client contracts. Our lead foreman, George Gargan, is widely accepted as one of the top lead bespoke designers, and his application and attention to detail is second to none. We also offer private bespoke works, which can be discussed and designed by George and the clients.

Award-Winning Projects

Our team has won a variety of national awards and nominations for individual achievements. Some of our notable projects include:

  • Kelburn Castle: a project that took over three years to complete, involving the complete stripping of all Scottish slates, laying aside for re-use, and supplying a make-up for the deficiency.
  • Malta Terrace, Glasgow: a complete re-roofing of over 1,000m2 of private flats for GHA, using Cupa H3 slate and Code 6 lead to flat roofs and copings.
  • The Gatehouse, Kilmarnock: a property built in the late 18th century which was completely re-roofed, with slates reused, and new casting carried out on the gutters and ridge.
