At Double L Ltd, we are proud to have been trading since 1975, providing a range of services that cater to our clients' roofing, joinery, and fire protection needs. Our company was founded by Len Bird and Les Smith, and has since maintained its family values and business acumen, while upholding the moral and ethical values upon which it was originally founded.

Our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has enabled us to grow and expand over the years, with our joinery division acquiring Thundersley Joinery in 2012. This acquisition allowed us to expand our range of products and services, including bespoke hardwood and softwood staircases. Our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction has earned us membership in the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, the Competent Roofer Scheme, and accreditation as a supplier of passive fire protection.

Our Team

At Double L Ltd, we understand the importance of having a skilled and dedicated team behind the scenes. Our team consists of experienced professionals who have been with us for many years, with a combined total of over 50 years of service to the company. Meet the team below:

• Nikki Geaney, Office Manager - Nikki has been with Double L Ltd since 2004, holding the role of Administration Assistant before taking on the role of Office Manager in 2015. In her current role, Nikki oversees the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Karen Pogson, Health and Safety Manager - Karen joined Double L Ltd in 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous role in pharmacy management. As Health and Safety Manager, Karen ensures that our company adheres to all health and safety regulations.
• Charntelle Horsman, Manager - Passive Fire Protection - Charntelle has been with Double L Ltd since 2009, starting as an administration assistant to the passive fire team. She has progressed within the company, taking on the role of Manager and Passive Fire Protection Lead.
